Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

From what you described I don't think you're expecting too much. I wonder, is it possible that the people around you are taking your smile at face value? Maybe they do notice that something is 'off' but don't want to upset you by asking about it directly. How do you feel about being honest with a few people about how you are feeling? Do you think they would be receptive to your feelings?
How would your husband react if you said, "Do you think we could agree on what to watch tonight?" Or when a day is coming up that you'd like a little extra attention, or something nice do you think you could say to someone, "You know, _____ day is coming up, I think I'd like to do something nice that day." I completely understand wanting people to be a little less selfish and a little more selfless, but when they're just not doing it you may have to suggest it a bit.
I know I'm asking a lot of questions, and I'm not trying to overwhelm you. ((hugs))
