I've been feeling like isolating myself for a long time. I may be one of the only people on the planet who actually cherished being quarantined. I love my family so much, but I always fantasize about just being by myself out in the woods or on a deserted island somewhere. The crazy thing is that I think I would actually enjoy living like this.

Maybe just go outdoors to a park in a remote area and be by yourself for awhile. Maybe it will give you some alone time

I understand your predicament. Noise and music drive any sane person crazy. Do you have a quiet place in your home where you can hide? A den perhaps, or the basement, or garage? It's difficult to leave the house when you are quarantined. Or perhaps wear your headphone, turn the music on to classics, lock yourself in a quiet room, and block all the commotions from your ears?

When Covid came and everyone started isolating I finally felt like I kind of fit in cuz this is the way I live anyway. even the masks and distancing 6 feet felt kind of like a gift for me.. A free, built in restraining order of 6 feet from all people in the human race. I had a legit reason to tell people who came to close to back the hell off. Felt wonderful to me. yea, i feel like i want to live alone out in the woods too most of the time. deserted island would be a little too scary for me. i'd like to feel like i could drive into town once every couple weeks or so to get groceries and some stamps. : )

Anna I feel the same way. Even little things about living in society gives me extreme anxiety, and I wish I never had to face any of it.

I can relate to your feelings of wanting to draw yourself in. To be honest, it's not really a bad thing to do in moderation, especially if you're naturally an introvert. I also, believe that having balance with recharging and releasing energy is key to being healthy and happy. Rest up!

Well that makes three of us, I too often enjoy the peaceful and quite time of not living in the city, Give me a horse land and a cabin and I'd call it good, and yes of course there'd be lots to take care of and nobody else to worry about. Of course too we'd have to live somewhat close to civilization for food, or necessities.

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)
