Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

When you left he hospital were you felling better? If you are still feeling depressed, you should or your parents need to call the dr and let him know this. If you still having suicidal intentions your dr must know this. I am sure you have another appt with your dr. but I am not sure u should wait that long! I almost committed suicide 3 weeks ago. The medication I was on caused suicidal intentions. You or your parents should look up the adverse side effects of all your medications. 2 days afte I wanted to killI myself I was laughing. If you think about doing this you will hurt the ones you love. You may think thinks is the best thing for you but it isn’t. The world would not be the same without you! You have so much to contribute to the world and your family. Please check your meds for adverse side effects.
What about getting a pet? A cat or gerbils a rabbit or something you can take care of? Suggest this to your parents. Helping another living thing could help you cope until you are on the right meds. Sounds like you need to have your meds changed. Hope this helps. Will keep you in my prayers, CarolAnne
I'm going to say to you what I wish someone(anyone!!) would've said to me. That is this "You are a sacred, precious, beloved, cherished, wanted, and beautiful gift of love from above." Please don't snuff out the gift of love that you are!!!
P.S.: I don't know if you can get an account(because of your age) on Pinterest.com BUT you should try. They have GREAT affirmations. I don't know what sort of family dysfunction you have(you mentioned family problems) BUT,whatever it happens to be, Pinterest probably has information on it that can help you to grow in your knowledge and,by doing this, help you to grow, move forward, and(eventually;not right away because it's a process)move through whatever it is and finally be able to let it go(in addition to counseling).
An example from my own expierience is that I learned more about my PTSD,exactly what form it is,and what that form is called, and few other things about it as well.
This is just one area that it's helped me to be more informed about,to cope with, and(knowledge wise)to have complete peace about.
You are strong enough, courageous enough, and brave enough to get through this! DON'T LET YOUR DEPRESSION WIN!!! Lot of love and hugs
