Yesterday morning my 19 year old cat vomited, once again. And once again, diarrhorea at night from him.

Maybe, at his age, the apartment isn't warm enough, in May. The landlord has the heat off, I have 3 electric heaters plugged in. I'll be glad when June comes.

Could also be whatever food. And, I did start buying bottled water, and pedialite.

But, man, almost two years of this, every few days; definately depressing.

Flea allergy maybe, I guess it's something they can develop after a while. That happened to one of my cats once.

thankfully, last month's $200 blood work came back that my cat's health ok, otherwise.

cat was given a steroid shot at time.

19 year old cat in human years = 150?!

yeah, all this trouble did start after i found fleas 2 years ago....though no fleas since, with me just checking, combing, trimming my two cats minutes ago.

but, like i read about colds/lung infections, once cats get such stuff, it tends to come back again by itself.

I don't know, my cat never went out and got a flea allergy. They said sometimes they come in on our clothes but don't live long? Or I suppose even if they got on and the animals have one of those flea killing pills under their belt they can still get bit before the fleas die, anyway I don't know but somehow he got bit and that was the start of the mess.

sorry for that I have a bichon she is ten and went through a scary time with the same but her poop got bloody so she had to be in hospital thank God she pulled through best wishes sheila andn lady

pet owners getting stuck checking on their pets' poop...i'm worried that one day my cat will stop using the litter box; that's always a terrible sign.

I'm sorry, it must be really frustrating for you and poor kitty. I know you are doing all you know to do, I have a very good suggestion though. Make your kitty catnip tea, if you need more instructions on how to do that I would be happy to give them to you, it's very simple, put that it your cat's water every day, and the diarreah will go away, watch for constipation though. I know because I grow catnip all in my yard/gardens and use it all the time, it will stop vomiting and diarreah, I PROMISE.

you can use it yourself too. I use it when I feel sick and my daughter who is 16 years old uses it when she is sick to her stomach, it also helps with menstrual cramps. Believe me, if it didn't work, SHE would not go to the trouble of making it.

Have lots of unused catnip, will start boiling it, and put it in water before I fall asleep, when my cat more open to trying something different.
