After chatting with him for a couple days he gave me his name in case he does have an emergency. I decided to call the police in his area to get him the help he really needs because he won't do it himself.
They just went to his home... he doesn't know I called. Hope he forgives me.

That's good to hear! Even if he is angry with you now I bet he will see later what a good move it was and will totally be thankful for it :)
