***** Background: I have suffered with severe depression, borderline Bipolar for all of my life, but wasn't diagnosed until about 17 or 18. Currently I am a college student, and about two months ago I lost everything, my job, apartment, car, everything that I personally worked hard for by going into the army and having m y college paid for them and by working and doing the things I thought were right. No matter how good you are doing depression will hit you and destroy everything you had.****
Today started off like a normal day for me, which consists of laying in bed trying to stay in m y own little world. I then received a message on my phone that my refund check has come in from my school. I got kind of excited and motivated. I figured this is my one step forward that I was looking for to get out of this depression and try to gain my life back. Along with that email I received another email that informed me that I was overqualified for a job that I applied for, which was confusing because I am only a college student, but they wanted to interview me for another position. I was once again excited and motivated to get up and do something, jump out of depression. So I called the people who took my car and said please can we work something out so that I can have my car back, and long story short it worked out! After that I was feeling that I was accomplishing things! So I decided to tackle something else that has been keeping me deep in depression since my current break-down. I decided to call me apartment complex and ask if they still had all of my belongings which included all of my furniture, awards, books, family photos, decorations, military belongings, etc. Everything that meant something to me and that I worked hard to earn and purchase. At the time when I lost everything I had no support from family or anyone because I didn't come from a well to do background, so the only thing I could do was leave everything there and hope that something would come along. The feeling of helplessness is the worst. Ok so back to me calling the apartment complex, I was optimistic that maybe they would have held my stuff or even have tried to contact a next of kin or something, but in a rude way I was told all my stuff was thrown away...... I just dropped the phone and cried, I sat in the floor and cried for a while and then just laid down because I couldn't take it, and no one to talk to. I went back to my thoughts of just asking God to forgive me of all my sins, and just somehow take me from this world and into heaven so I don't have to deal with this. I was desperate for some comfort or anything I told my mother and the first thing she could say to me is well stuff happens. I know she can't pat m y back and say everything is going to be good, but just a simple show of sympathy understanding, something to help my thought process out. I just went back to sleeping and I couldn't sleep anymore, so I'm really using this as a forum to keep myself from negative thoughts. Please excuse the grammar and spelling. I don't want to go back and read through this because it just hurts so bad...Guys I know you are going through things too, but please keep me uplifted and I hope that we all will one day come out of this trap of depression.

I know it will be difficult to refurnish your life but with that interview and the refund cheque you are back on the path to good things. Keep fighting buddy. There is alot in that to take heart from.
