Has anyone here used Topiramate (brand name Topamax)for weight loss?
If you have did you find it worked? and if it worked how long did it take?

first, i didn't even know there was a alternative to topamax. I was always told there was no generic. I've been paying out the ass w/ money i don't have (credit card) to get prescriptions (No insurance)

anyway, i take it for severe migraines. My old dr. mentioned when giving it to me that it may cause weight loss. I dont think for me it caused weight loss

Apparently studies have been done and it has been shown to have results of weight loss. it has only been just over a week for me. I have noticed it is making me feel sick and leaving a terrible taste in my mouth. I guess it is counter acting on the Seroquel a bit because I do feel full quite quickly now, whereas before I never felt full.

I found I gainned weight on it... but my issue was... not quite normal anyway...
