Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have two jobs. I do security during the day and I'm a waitress at night. Before i got the security job, i worked afternoons and nights at the restaurant. I thought I hated that job so I searched for a day job and now that I'm here, I miss working fulltime at the restaurant.
I've only been doing security for a few months but all I do is sit here and mess around on the computer and my phone. I miss being active. The only thing keep me here is the pay. I make decent money and I'm guaranteed overtime which is good cuz of the money but it takes a toll on my body :( im always exhausted and i never want to hang out with my friends anymore :( winter is coming soon and i want to go snowboarding a lot more than i did last year but at this rate i dont think i'll be able to. im always tired and i see my friends going out after work and having fun and i just cant do that anymore. i want to be able to socialize and i dont feel healthy.
I'm debating whether to take the slight pay cut and go back to working at the restaurant full time or try to tough it out at the security job a little longer. My depression has dipped since working here and my anxiety has spiked as well. I'm thinking for the benefit of my mental, social, and physical health I shouldnt be here much longer.
