Tomorrow marks a year since the first and last time I performed CPR.


The patient went into cardiac arrest after a COPD episode which lead to respiratory distress. 


10 minutes of compressions. 


The patient was intubated and 3 days later the MRI and CT scanned showed no signs of brain activity. He was taken off the ventilator and passed away 26 hours later.

I'm so sorry. I don't really know what to say and if you're like me, you don't like when people say sorry because they don't know how you feel. Just know that you have a friend and if you ever need to talk about anything, you can with me :)

So sorry for your loss.
Nothing about death is easy, I wasn't with my wife when she died, I can't imagine how that must have felt.

@ARickinMarks I am like that, I don't know why, but when people say "sorry" it just does something to me.

@geo70 I am not attending a grief group-This the closest to it. I have my therapy sessions, but honestly---my life has been a mess since.

A girl I know had to CPR on her dad when he stopped breathing. But he died. She said getting
a dog helped her heal.

So sorry for your loss. Both of my parents are deceased, one 10 years ago and the other 23 years ago. I went into therapy after my mom died. I wasn't handling life well. If you need to talk, please message me.
