Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I don't have any answers (for you or for my situation either), except let DS be your safe haven for now. You're not a crook or criminal. Lot's of people are living with their older parents now--society has changed. And as far as the DWI--what can you do? You've paid the price and now just tell yourself it's something that happened and in the past. Do you have insurance or access to any kind of counseling? Sometimes getting yourself to feel mentally well is really important before moving forward.
While reading your post, I remember my husband when he was being laid off from his job. He worked for this company for 9 years with many benefits. He was being awarded by this company because of hard work and his talents but things happened. I have to admit, it was not a good feeling to lose a job, we grieved, I cried, thankfully, we were able to move forward. After 13 months of searching, my husband found one which is better than his previous employer. I'm telling you this to encourage you not to give up searching. Keep on looking and I hope you will have that job that you need. Try to connect with your friends and search the internet for available jobs. Social media is also a good source, my friend got his job through a post in Facebook. I hope it will work for you too.
I pray that you will have peace as you wait and you will have your heart's desires. Keep us posted. We care for you. Take care and God bless.
