Fuckin suits me fine.
Yes, being successful in any attempts to kill myself would have been devestating to a lot of my family. Yes, my failed attempts to kill myself caused a lot of problems within my family. Yes, tomorrow is another day and I'm damn lucky to see it.
BUT:
Don't tell the suicidal person that she will hurt her family or that she is being selfish. Don't simply tell him that the shadow only proves the sunshine. She can't see that. All he can see or feel is how much he hurts inside. You need to be there for her, to love her and support her. You need to pray for him and try to relate or identify with what he is going through. Admit to her that you can't possibly imagine how much it must hurt inside to think that killing herself is the only way to end the pain.
Think about it. Step back and take a moment to consider that pain, even if you can't understand it.
I was lucky. I was lucky that, despite my parents incapability of dealing with me & my issues, God had a strong hold on me (MUCH against my will). I was lucky that my parents didn't deny me professional help. I was lucky that they were willing to listen to said help. I was lucky that, even if they didn't understand it or personally handle it correctly, they were supportive of outside means to help me get well.
Be supportive, not accusing, comdemning or condescending. Don't lecture, pray. Don't offer hollow phrases that mean nothing to someone who has heard it a million times before and still wants to end it all.
Most importantly: THINK about it.
When your SO alone in the world, because your family & society want nothing to do with you anymore (in other words you basically don't exist).
When your hopes, and dreams disapear with the snap of a finger. What is left? How can one picture tommorrow, if they can not even make it through today? (I speak for myself when I ay that).
Now, before the red-flags come up, i'm not saying that i'm @ this point right now. But, I would like to know is: What would you do? For some, Suicide I the ONLY option left for them.
Just realize it's not something desireable for anyone to do.
I think about it pretty much all the time.
I can't help that.It has become my nature.
