I've only been with one person and it had been for 5 years we have a son and we were supposed to be getting married at the end of this year. We've broken up now because he has changed so much. We use to say OUR wedding now he says HIS weddings. He doesn't do things like you he use to like talk to me on the phone or check on me. He can go for days without texting me then shows up out of nowhere. I don't have proof but I feel like he's been cheating/ seeing another person. So I left and it hurts and my body and spirit just feels so drained by betrayal I don't know what to do anymore. I've been praying and it doesn't seem to be helping. Ugh I'm just trying to put on a brave face for my son.

Well you've got to stick up for yourself or you'll end up a doormat. I know it's going to hurt but you have to lay some standards down, and he'll either rise to the occasion in which case you two can be happy, or he won't, in which case at least you will be free.

You're being very brave, and taking an important step to challenge this so that your son doesn't get dragged through years of family misery and bad fatherly examples.

Where has the fiance been living? Has he been living with you and disappearing for days? it all sounds not okay.

I think you have made the best choice and that in the end you wile happier. It will be hard and take time to do this, but you are strong and need to do what's best for you and your son.

Thanks guys... we don't live together but weekends we try to stay together either at his house or mines just to give my son both his parents. Usually throughout the weeks we are together or we are in constant contact. Lately it was nothing at all for 3 days then when I don't contact him either he would show up trying to act as if everything is normal. I left him because nothing is the same, he talks down on me because I gained a little weight from having my son (from UK size 8-10 to UK Size 12-14) most people assume as a single mom I will be throwing myself at others but I know better than that. It just feels worse when i know he's already made himself available and here I am trying to hold onto my dignity. Ugh life doesn't seem fair. Thank you all for the supportive words xx
