Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Hey guys, it's late. I don't do well around a disorderly world. That's one of my pet peeves and number-one stressors as a military spouse.
I am used to an orderly world, especially at work. For the most part, since I started working less than the promised hours at hire, no less than 27 hours as a part-time employee, with the intent of full-time with potential promotion to store leader position.
And since the former area leader is no longer running the area they've replaced her, my hours have decreased. The current store leader and I agreed that, since he's cut back everyone's hours, not just mine, per the new area leader, I'd stay on the weekends with my current shift, knowing I walk and have been on this journey for years as I'm trying to get through my family's divorce case resolved here in Hidalgo County as a retired dependent and spouse. This has been out in the open but not per my wishes... they should not get involved.
I got this job by the grace of God to help me get through this divorce process, but geesh... turned out to be a demonic event.
However, ever since they placed the store leader and now the new area leader in this store, operations have been to taper my hours down to only 16 hours a week, knowing I'm one of the best store clerks ever to exist in this world. I work hard for my money, I pay with my hard-earned money, and I put my money to good use in my community.
He is shameless and dares to make up excuses for his irresponsible behavior in the company, making up nonsense on a whim and thinking everyone is ignorant and will fall for his lies and cheating ideas.
He is a stressor, and he dedicates himself to distressing others because, unfortunately, they have allowed him to do so in the company. It was a wrong idea for the company to move him into my place of employment (it doesn't matter where I work or what I do for a living); a dishonest person like him should never be around me because I'm an honest worker.
We are incompatible; a dishonest employee with an honest employee is never a good match for any company. It angers me that upper management appears not to care.
This person has been so disrespectful; from the beginning, he treated me like crap, has said some offensive things to my face and behind my back, literally, and walks around all prideful knowing of his behavior towards me. He's a pathetic bully; I could see why he was divorced. His prideful attitude is an embarrassment to find out, knowing his work ethic reflects his behavior.
Anyway, he and his teacher's pet (idiom) hardly ever showed up on time, much less on Saturdays or Sundays. He usually has his teacher's pet do his work on Saturday or Sunday. He's even had someone else come do his paperwork because neither he nor the teacher's pet could get to it. After all, they're "with their family."
I know so because that one person who came down to do so for him was the only one to help me immediately on the spot with the safe while I was with a customer at the register. No text, no call, all at face value on site, immediate, effective, and efficient help. That was actually her store, and I got mad when they removed her. She rocked in there as a store leader; she kept people in check in the kitchen area. When you needed her, she was there. She was rude, even to customers, but she cared, and she came around.
Most of the time when I've asked both the store leader and his assistant to reply to my text or call, I've gotten ignored. No reply, no return call, no text, and no acknowledgment. Unless they need something from me, or they seem to think they have to address their important role in the company, they don't bother to message or call back when you need them.
They behave worse than an outsider knowing of their responsibility yet deliberately neglecting it.
When I've gotten a message or call, it's usually when I'm OFF, and they dared to bother me with a bullcrap excuse. I do what I've got to do, but believe me, I've worked with a reliable team in the past. I get it, no one is perfect, but mind you, the person who brought these two figures into our store was wanted by our local police for money theft, and it came out in my local news and all over social media. I even heard the store leader talk to someone over the phone about it prior to it blowing up on social media. I chimed in, thinking that the person who brought him in from the company had retired when he mentioned money.
Navigating through this unprofessionalism is just unbelievable; you cannot blame the valley for the lack of respect at the macro or micro level. There are honest workers like me, I'm sure, and I'm not the only honest person in the company. You cannot blame the lack of education either; they can count money, read, and think and pass state exams to sell tobacco, alcohol, and lotto tickets. They damn well know what they do and what they've been doing. These are not underage kids; these are full adult males.
Everyone else in the company knows that the corporation isn't pulling this crap; however, they've allowed it to get filtered. They opened the door for this type of suspicious activity to be activated where there should not be any.
