I am not that well versed in all the two's and fro's of depression only having been suffering to any great extent on the last couple of years.
I know exactly what you are talking about though. I have have had the exact same worry cycle, or at least that is what it feels like. I recently had the worst crash I have experienced. When I surfaced I was constantly checking how I was and what I was thinking because the crash scared me silly. I even thought I was working up to another crash (started getting scared) but I started to focus on work and it all calmed down. I have not crashed again yet and it still scares me every day. Also though I am adding up the days and focusing on them as something good and positive.
I think there must be a self perpetuating cycle there. Still figuring it out myself though.
Al the best.
I don't have as many mental crashes as I used to, though.
