Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I know your husband is sick, I'm not sure if he has the health to go out, or do activities outside. But you HAVE to talk to him, explain to him that you feel alone and life has lost it's spark. He may feel guilty, tell him is not his fault. But let him know you need his support like he needs yours.
Just to let you know the power of a calm, well spoken conversation here's a little story.
My grandma after 15 years of not going out, feeling depressed and suicidal one night told me that she was leaving my grandfather, he had ruined all those years for her. He never wanted to go out, talk, it was like they're were sofas in a house. And also after 30 something years they were't married. Cutting all the details, I convinced my grandmother to have a serious talk with him, and she did. After letting all her thoughts out, he stood there quiet. So she told him to leave and never come back. After seconds of pure silence he started crying and finally talked. they were things he felt he never could have said before because he was blinded by the routine that had become his life... They got married moved in together and they're doing good.
What I'm trying to say is, talking and letting your partner how you feel in extremely important. If you see no interest, and no response from him. it sounds bad, but BE SELFISH and leave. Go back home where you want to be, Find your happiness because maybe is not with him.
In a blink on an eye you'll be 80! and there's no turning back.
good luck!
As for the other men in your life. They are gone which is good thing and are in the past. You did nothing wrong to cause it. Don't be so hard on yourself.
