Just curious to know what people enjoy doing when you're not in a real low?
I use to love to look forward to vacations, going to the beach, visiting friends, picnics, spending time with family, etc.

i just enjoyed doing things with my kids and family. I also liked doing crafts and working in the yard. these days im not feeling that great so i haven't been doing that much which just makes the problem worse. maybe we need to just do something and then well feel better? i dont know i just feel stuck right now. but thats a good topic for conversation.

I love the beach too (doesn't sand in the toes feel incredibly wonderful?) - but with all the animals I have right now no vacations for awhile (but I'm ok with that). But I do enjoy taking my doggy for a walk and watching her get excited about things I forget to notice (God created such a beautiful place and I tend to take it for granted sometimes-she helps me remember what a beautiful world we live in). I also enjoy my Guinea Pig Brunches we have 1x a month..piggy chat, silly chat, good food and good company. I'm not always 'up' enough to go but I push myself because it brings me out of that 'low'. I also enjoy sitting on the porch on a warm night with a piggy on my lap and my doggy chewing grass in the yard, crickets chirping, moon a'shinin'

Ah yes, summer nights, listening to the crickets chirp. :) My client gave me their outdoor swing (seats 3 with a canopy), they're cleaning out the house because of the move, and didn't want it. I was so touched that they gave it to me. I've been wanting one for a long time. I look forward to sitting outside at night and having a fire. It's actually nice to look forward to something. Havent' in a long time.

Do you think you can be so down that if given the opportunity to get away for a long weekend you would not go?

I used to love to read, now I can't even get into a book.

i find when i get depressed i become immobile, it is such an effort to do anything for myself. but the key here is I have 3 large dogs (who love me unconditionally) and they depend on me for everything. everyday i have to walk them. at least 2 miles sometimes 5. that has kept me sane for the last six years. I have never missed a day, (rain or shine) unless I am on vacation. that God for animals

I used to love being outside (in good weather) bike riding, rollerblading, jumping on the trampoline, spending time with friends, gardening, taking my children places and having fun WITH them, going for rides in the car with my b/f, playing pool with my b/f, going to the beach with my family...I really used to enjoy my life.

I'm going to try and make an effort this year to enjoy some of those free outdoor concerts they have during the summer. I bet the kids would enjoy it too. I can't wait for warmer weather.

I used to enjoy weekends, after long routine only days, my weekends were awesome, i enjoyed having friends over for coffee, and see them enjoy my cooking and baking, singing . I just loved to make people laugh.

warm sun-filled days in the gentle breeze with a good book and a comfortable chair, a little music in the background, some birds chirping, and knowing that i have the love of a beautiful woman (wait, thats never been my situation)
