Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Life doesn't just 'disappear'..... it is what it is, and largely what you make of it.
It took me a long time and most of the world to learn what I know about love and fate and the choices we make, but the heart of it came to me in an instant, while I was chained to a wall and being tortured. I realised, somehow, through the screaming in my mind, that even in that shackled, bloody helplessness, I was still free: free to hate the men who were torturing me, or to forgive them. It doesn't sound like much, I know. But in the flinch and bite of the chain, when it's all you've got, that freedom is a universe of possibility. And the choice you make, between hating and forgiving, can become the story of your life."
This quote makes a lot of sense to me, and I realize so much of what we struggle with on a daily basis is nearly trivial to what we could be struggling with. Not that it should minimize what we perceive as a somewhat block to the pursuit of contentment... but we do have a bit of power when it comes to what we allow to affect whichever course we meander.
Ugh, I don't know what to do anymore.
