Definitely can relate. It sucks and the only ones who think it is great are the ones with plenty of money. Jobs are sucking, not paying what they should or expect so much out of one for so little. I am having a hard time finding a job, even with a degree. Trying to get back into college to turn my associate's into a bachelor's with a more specialized training in order to obtain a decent career. Even trying to get back into college is hard right now. All I know is we all need better days with more lucrative means of surviving. It is very frustrating and stressful to say the least.

it been three fuckin years - and its 0nly g0tten W0RSE

There are so many talent people whose time and energy are wasted on shit jobs. And there are so many unemployed that if you can't be at your bosses beck and call they will find someone who will. I am lucky that I have a job that I love at least. I take care of a older couple in there home full time. Been with then for 13 years. Who is going to hire me after they are gone? I am 37 years old with no degree and basically no remarkable skills but hey! I know how to scrub a toilet and change a oxygen tube. Hire me! It's scary.

It's difficult to ignore I must admit. Like yourself I'm putting in all the hours I can get and am just barely scraping by. I work away and only see my partner for maybe 2-3 days a month. 5 hours of that are spent traveling, then there are chores to do such as getting my gear cleaned & prepped and ready to go again. She is understandably pretty miserable because of the situation. It's taking a toll on us both in terms of how it affects our relationship and in terms of health. You have to wonder what the point is when you are breaking your back everyday and can't even afford to spend time with loved ones. I'm just trying to stay positive right now and tell myself it won't be forever.... maybe I'll get work closer to home sometime in the near future and will at least be able to go home at nights.... then again it could get worse, if things get any harder financially I'm pretty well stuck and 2-3 days of visiting time a month might have to be reduced to 0 days a month. I don't even want to think about it.

I know that when I was healthy enough to work, it hardly seemed worth it. I was working 80hr weeks, on call 24/7, and never had time to do anything to keep my sanity. I often wonder if I'd find happiness in a cardboard box simply being able to breathe and not drain myself of everything. But, eventually it will back to school for another degree and pray that one day I'll have the time to actually live the life I dream of.
