Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I hate the weekends. So lonely,
Life is full of these horrid hurdles. But I like to tell people (and I always tell myself because it's true) that they're FINITE hurdles. Every lesson is a discrete lesson, and once you've learned it, you don't have to learn it again.
this is a good thing. You might have started late, but you can still catch up if you are consistently forward looking and determined. You haven't lost the game.
This is a very very long race. This is a race lasting 70 yrs. You can, like the hare, sit on your butt for 30 yrs and then get up and run. Or you can plod indefinitely. If you feel behind the pack now don't despair because you haven't seen all the ones BEHIND you yet. There's heaps of them.
When you have depression all you want is kindness. And you don't get it. this is because the people you're dealing with don't have depression. They don't understand it, they're not interested in it, they're playing to win and you're just some blob in the way. They shove you aside.
They will have their time to learn. this will be the time you catch up you see. Their time to come crashing down will be their fifties or sixties. what happens is they break a leg or something and are forced into bedrest for long enough to smash their usual defences. The reality of their lives breaks through and they crash and have nervous breakdowns.
And THEN they discover what they were doing to others.
Everyone learns. Life does the same stuff to us all. You're not singled out by life, and this means that you have an even chance at it.
:) PM me. You're going to be okay.
