A side note to Baz. I've done the moderating thing before Baz, a number of times, which is why I commented on this forum of course. It's an impossible job and anyone who has a go is a brave man or woman.

Watched a fantastic BBC doc on evolution last night. It did not say anything about money being God.But what it does say by omission I believe is that the belief in God is a personal mind set. If your family loves money more than God that has nothing to do with you. It kind of sounds like you are having a crisis of faith.Which is very tough to go through on its own without having the added pressure of depression. It has been my experience that you can not test God. It is tough when our familes seem overly concerned with appearances. Exspecially when we need help. But remember others are here for you some believe in God some do not. I find facebook alot of happy horse shit. Really not the place to look for true answers to anything. Was a bartender for years I reconize the sins i mean signs. You are worth more.

Should`nt it say testing you faith in God. So for example I pray that God fixes my 7 broken and rotting teeth from being depressed so long. Then I say God if you exist fix my teeth by morning.or you do not exist. I know God can do it. But he won`t. The only way my teeth are gonna be fixed is through Gods children whos faith is strong and out of charity they help me raise money to pay a dentist to fix my teeth.

Some teaching hospitals will help you out

Instead of writing this as a facebook thread I can post it until nobody responds within a day or two I can delete it and repost it two see if anyone in my family responds. If they do not respond I guess they put money over God. If God was more important then money they would help my conspiracy hoarding brother fix his car. He needs a complete exauhst system and the smell of gas coming from his engine needs to be fixed.

I grew up in a Southern Baptist family and I think Jesus would have been very disappointed. LOL .It has taken me a lot of years to begin to understand my issues in a spiritual context and probably take me a lot more to really get a handle on it all. I am learning and making changes, and that gives me a lot of hope.

I think often peoples' ideals don't match up with their actions. People do get held in the grip of whatever motivates them. Could be money, power, status, vengeance, but could also be love, truth, joy, generosity. We choose to see the side of God that appeals to us most, and we can re-choose any time.

I'm not a very churchy person, but I have read the Bible a few times and from what I can make out through all the various edits and translations, Jesus mostly said love each other, and be true to your conscience (it is the voice of God in you). I think when he said I am the way, he meant, my life is an example of how love and truth will set you free more than any earthly thing, even if death is the consequence, not my death will cover you for any wrongdoing!

Love your family regardless of their allegiances. Whatever they may be doing in their brains and bodies, their spirits are still pure and they may eventually come around. Try to set the example for loving without judgement.

Nobody on facebook responded to this post. My sister and brother in law got the message. They are Baptists that think they are holier than thou. My brother in law is actually a deacon in his church. I am sure I will die soon. I have a foot long blood clot in my left leg and take blood thinners. I have rotting teeth. I lay in bed every day. I am at high risk for a heart attack or stroke. Also I weigh 180 pounds. When I die I hope I go to my fathers kingdom. Then when my brother in law and sister reach their judgment day I hope I am their when God asks them why did you not help your brothers when they were suffering when you had plenty of money to help them? Being severely depressed I look forward to 2012 because if the shit gos done I can die without killing myself. Plus it gives 2 years to repent for my sins and ask God for forgiveness for all my sins.

Hi it is nice to see you have a long term life plan. But I think you need to work on a short term plan. Start with some type of exercise just a little I am sure you can do this.Brush your teeth with a paste of baking soda and peroxide very good for your gums.Maybe try and find up lifting things on the net to occupie your mind with. You seem to want to test everyone. See who replies on Facebook, on DS, your family, God. What is it you want to learn from these tests? That they love you? Why? If they love you than maybe you can start to love yourself? Why not try loving yourself first and then see if others love you too.

I believe the bible says you should love others AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF. If you do not love yourself, you cannot love others. If you cannot love others, is it fair to test them to see if they love you?

I challenge you to find five reasons to love yourself and post them on Facebook and on DS. I would like to read them. I want to know why you are loveable.

Look in, not out. It's in us isn't it, not in other people. Ask them all to love us and you are inviting rejection as it's not possible for all to do so. Even Jesus was and is hated by many today so whay chance have any of us got of inviting this amount of livr?

I am taking my meds. Between various physical problems like a footlong bloodclot in my left leg,7 broken and rotting teeth, gerd. disk degenerative disease and periphial neuropathy which cause numbness in your toes. I take 9 different medications. Plus I live with a brother who is a hoarder and conspiracy freak. I have pictures on my profile that show the hoarders trailer from hell. I actually e-mailed the show hoarders and waiting for a reply. Most of my family are baptists so yes I was testing them. Thus Tempting the fate of GOD. Nobody on facebook replied. I do appreciate the DS members for their replies. I am trying to get into Havenwyk. The only mental hospital that still lets its patient to smoke outside. It like next to the Palace of Auburn Hills where the Detroit Pistons play.

I'm very glad to hear you are trying to get into hospital. That will help a lot. That is an excellent step. We can all give you our best, but we are not professionals. Proud of you. That is a thing that makes you loveable, you are taking care of yourself. Another thing that makes you loveable is that you want to get away from the depressing environment you live in. It is not healthy for you to live there. Keep going you are doing great. I spent some time on a psychiatric ward in hospital and it was helpful.
