The addition of a therapist is a very important step. They are much more experienced and equipped to treat our particular ailments. General Practitioners (You'll see GP posted as board slang) can throw pills at you all day; you need someone else to help you through the rest.
Beyond the chemical/emotional puppet strings, I find that setting small goals for myself or a small to-do list for each day gives me a hint of gratification and helps me feel like I at least did -something- that day. Today it was emptying the dishwasher and calling a warranty center for a repair I need. Other than that I've written a page or two of prose. I've eaten a meal and I've bathed.
So, I didn't do a hell of a lot today, but I did more than I did yesterday, and that's enough.
Good luck with therapy and your increased dosage. I'll be hoping for a better tomorrow for you. :)
