Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

They were only able to remove about 95% of the tumor. The rest started to wrap around an artery. A biopsy will be done and it will need to be monitored. He has numbness in his left leg. No one knows yet if it will be permanent. I'm so glad the surgery is behind us.

The doc was disheartened as well. Because the tumor has already started to attach itself, he said it has been there a while. And my bro, Jim, says he had been having problems for years that he just thought was clumsiness on his part, his left leg tripped him up a lot, but the doc says it was most likely the tumor. It will continue to grow....but at a very slow rate...and the doc says old age will probably get him before they tumor becomes a problem again....unless it's malignant. So we wait for the biopsy results. The numbness concerns me. It is his left arm and leg. Jim escaped the dysfunction in our family by his music. He was about 12 when he bought a bass guitar with his his own money and announced he was going to play. He taught himself. And he never put that guitar down. He has been in bands since then. But the one he is in now is home to him. He has admitted that with the amount of numbness in his hand, he won't be able to play. So we are hoping it's only temporary. As for me, the gallbladder is coming out on the 25th. I am in more pain than I thought possible. I take oxy when I can....but since I can't drive with it...I can only take it when I'm home for the day. The surgeon is going to take a look around in there....because we are thinking there may be something else going on as well. I can't wait....and I hope it solves the problem. I have now been in pain for 75 days straight, and it has gotten worse.
