what do you do when your partner makes you feel worthless, like your dumb and can't do anything right? Mocks me while I cry or I say I'm trying....I'm a stay at home mom and aparently I'm not aloud to ask him where all the money is going or voice my concerns with our money situation. So now he says he wont put any money into the account and he will give me a $100 a week for the things "our" kids need, but yet we live with my grandmother and he doesn't help with the bills, he just makes me feel worthless sometimes....

Get a job so you have your own money. Why can't grandma take care of the kids?

At the moment my daughter is only 5 months old and is breastfeeding and my grandma works a lot and also takes care of her elderly aunt

mrsdee. I am so sorry you are having to endure this abuse. Yes it is abuse, emotional and verbal. You and your child(ren) (and your grandmother) deserve more. Have you thought about seeking help from your local women's shelter? They often have resources to help with finding work, day care, and just helping you regain your self-worth and grow in confidence. There is no reason why you should have to put up with this. You say he is your "partner", however it doesn't seem like there is much togetherness occurring. If he isn't paying anything towards bills, it seems like your grandmother is supporting all of you, and that certainly isn't fair. How many children do you have? Are they in school? If so could you begin volunteering at school so you could be in a place where you are valued for who you are? If you are able, I would suggest you get into counseling for yourself to help you start looking at where you are and where you want to be? Have you had a honest discussion with your grandmother? Maybe she could give you some suggestions on how to start changing what is going on. You certainly are not worthless, and you deserve so much more than this.

Marriage counseling is highly recommended ... if not for both of you, then at least for you. You will learn a lot from it.

No one should ever put up with that. Not even "for the kids" b/c the kids are learning from what is going on and chances say they will continue the pattern. So for yourself and your kids, tell him to leave. Your won't be missing a thing. Think about it, what would you advise a friend of yours going thru that? Good luck

What a dick!! Sorry, but I wouldn't put up with his shit. Mental Illness is so difficult to deal with on your own, let alone when you have a family to deal with. Get out!
