Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Thinking of you xx
I used to imagine my own death and lie in bed and cry my eyes out as I visualised nobody giving a tiny tiny stuff that I was gone. And when I had finished crying I realised that if nobody gave a tiny tiny stuff if I was gone, then bugger them I would live and spite the bastards. F#ck em I wasn't going to end my only shot at existence just to make their lives more convenient.
Being invisible is good. Because nobody notices that you are alone. There's only one thing worse than being that bullied kid that has no friends; and that's having everyone notice. Better to spend your lunch breaks in the library swotting at your books, and be put down as a swot, than be seen sitting out alone eating your sandwich, little johnny no-mates. In ten years, you won't give a shit that you went through this - and at least you got your homework done.
Just remember: the only people in the world who will care if you are gone are the ones you don't want to hurt. And the ones who want you gone or don't care either way won't be hurt by your passing. They'll laugh and make jokes about you.
But I do think it's good for us to visualise it. I think it's good for us to get that kind of pain out of ourselves. Cry it into a pillow and then burn the pillow. Emerge from that pain stronger, and more relaxed.
And just hang on in there. In ten years' time school will just be a distant horrible memory you are not obliged to revisit. I had some serious fun when I was 20. :D
