Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
There were years where my life was so dark, empty and cold, that I prayed I'd die. Suicide was never an option because I'd lost a dear friend that way and saw the aftermath and sorrow he left first hand. But just because I wouldn't commit suicide didn't mean I wasn't suicidal. No one realized how bad it had gotten because I can wear that mask so darn well. Smiling on the outside, dying on the inside.
One day I finally blurted it out to my regular dr. That was the beginning of my recovery. Most days I can actually enjoy life -- it's a miracle. If you haven't talked to your dr about this, please do. If you have, talk to him some more. Don't stop until you have a treatment that works for you. You deserve no less.
Is there someone you trust who can come and be with you?
My thoughts and prayers are with you. *Hugs*

I am 28 and I have nothing to show for my age but I know that God wants me to live and that and my family is the only things that prevent me from doing something like that.
Can you think of anything that makes you happy or that makes you want to stay here in this world? a family member, a pet, friend? try to think or call them when you are feeling this way.
I really hope you feel better.
Take the rope and pull yourself out!
It does get better when you have more control over your life. Going to university helps.
