Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
As for being a Christian just have faith in God, trust in him with every good and bad thing in your life. Know that Jesus died for our sins and was raised from the dead after dying on the cross. There is a lot of love for you in Christ. He is there to listen to you in your time of need. Just trust and have faith.
I find that living my life the best that I can and being the best person I can be helps. I try to be a better person tomorrow than I am today. If one day is hard just ask God for strength to have a better day tomorrow and have faith in God to lead you to something great.
I will be praying that you find your way to God and that life becomes less stressful. If life gets too hard and you need someone to talk to you can contact me. Remember there is a lot of people here that care about you.
Greetings...Let me start off by saying from one Christian to another things aren't always as they appear. And Christians certainly weren't meant to be well polished!
Can you remember the day you first gave your life to God? Did you have your life all together then or did God accept you just as you were?
What changed in your life that makes you question your salvation now?
Chris you must know we are saved by Grace, God's Grace and not by our own doing.
And because we are a sinful man from a sinful nature no amount of good deeds would ever be able to repay such a high cost for the price of our sin.
But God would look on us with Love and pay the ultimate price which only blood, the blood of a lamb could surfice.
You see, Chris that the beautiful thing about salvation. We didn't earn it not did we have to work for it but it was given FREELY to those who would accept it.
If you're basing your Christianity on your mistakes, or by how someone else lives their Christian Life then STOP!
God isn't interested in religion or the "titles" we give ourselves whether it be Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Buddha etc...
What God looks at is our hearts, the compassion we have for one another, and
our willingness to forgive.
But what God desires more than anything is to have a Personal Relationship with us.
And that's our free ticket to heaven!
If there is a God, then you were put here for a purpose, and He must have something in store for you.
If there isn't a god, then you don't have any rules or obligations any more and can do whatever you want (provided you harm nobody).
So it's a win win situation. Neither alternative begs you to end it all as a the logical conclusion to your discoveries.
It is all about the difference between faith and science for me. I ask the world for science, I ask God for faith!
