Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I totally get you there hope, I've reduced my pain meds by almost 50% and it is still like a double edged sword with them.
Gladd I did go to their "disability councillor", I even told the counsellor of what types of "aids" they offered that I felt would help me. I was met with excuses as to why I should not take those aids and left no better than when I went in.
I'm going to try to see if I can get some sort of online classes for now, as I'm pretty conflicted about returning to classes and sitting there for hours (as theres no trying it, it's all or nothing at this point.) Even the first time around, I would make it through half the class and have to leave nearly in tears, only to be met by an hour drive home in traffic...and they wonder why I did not succeed.
And then I feel like others think I'm using this as an "excuse" to not have to study. I can't blame them, as after so long I've even questioned myself from time to time. But when pain really kicks in, I know I'm not. AND when in the odd time pain is extremely minimal, I feel like someone else, so open minded, thinking clearly and focused.
