Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It is always good to vent.
Hang in there and take one step at a time.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.
Blessings...
Re: the meds. Perhaps you can check out the natural alternative group for what has been of use.
I'd like to share that some, if not all, drug companies have programs to assist people in getting their meds. Some have income requirements, some don't.
Awhile ago, I was in that situation. The two drug companies I contacted--for the two meds I was on--responded very quickly. I had no shame about doing it, either.
Any good pharmacist will know which companies offer what to patients.
Please call a crisis line if you are sinking lower and want to hurt yourself...

We care and we are here for you,"
When they hospitilized me last year I denied needing the help, now I see what my pattern is. First I think about giving up, usually it goes no further. It doesn't always mean death, sometimes leaving, quitting, etc. Then there are times I am hurt, backed into a corner and REALLY want to give up, so I begin the thought of death, (where I am now). Then if the stress continues and I can't keep myself near my baseline, or stop from bouncing, I begin to make plans at which point I am in real trouble. I did talk to my gradfather at midnight last night. I know 1-800-suicide, but so far never called it. I don't think I could ever follow through, but I don't want to find out. That is why I argued with people last year saying I wasn't suicidal, but now I know better. I am scared, I think at this point I would go postal. When I left the camp I wanted to ram my car through the man building and had to really restrain myself. That is why I really need to get back on meds. (sigh)
I hope this helps. Good luck!
