Hey guys I would really like your input on what I posted in my journal. There will be 2 parts to this so I just wanted to put the first out before It became too much of a read. I am wanting to know if I had any part in my stepson turning into a pedophile. I need your honest opinion because this really gives me anxiety. I just want to hide under a rock.
Each one of us are our own person. In some cases we make horrible choices. In some cases people may be "pre-wired" to do bad things (but ultimately THEY choose their actions).
Did you try to lead your child properly? Then that is all you can do as a parent.
Honestly I am sure this feels like a horror thing to you. BUT it can be a positive.
1) LOVE your son unconditionally. Pray for him.
2) LOVE and support anyone effected by his actions.
God said to love our enemies (no I am not saying your son or the victim is your enemy). But love EVERYONE.
I do not love what your son did. But as another human being - I love him dispite his actions.
