Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Don't give up. You can get through this.
My mom still thinks I may need to see a doc. I've always struggled with my weight since childhood. Mom thinks it's weird I'm so bone tired all the time when I usually sleep 8 hrs a night and take b vitamins.
I get blood work done for free thru my job in October. I think I should wait until then to talk to a doc, if that comes back bad. I already know I have low blood sugar, b12, and used to be slightly anemic, which runs in the family. I've had blood work done many times and they never find anything.
Happy to hear that your Mom is willing to work with you.
And, yes, thyroid. I was diagnosed with low thyroid a couple years ago. I take a natural replacement (Armour thyroid) not Synthroid. Synthroid is a synthetic man made thyroid supplement. Armour is actual thyroid hormone.
I hope you find the help you are seeking.
Doc called today with test results. I had a full spectrum thryroid test done because I am exhibiting signs of hypothyroidism. They took a lot of blood, tested my TSH, t3, t4, reverse t3. Also tested me for hashimotos disease, as well as many vitamin deficiencies.
Everything came back normal. Which is pretty much what I figured. The thyroid issue is being caused, not by my thyroid, but my cortisol imbalance.
So tomorrow I have to give more urine and blood samples before work. I.m Being tested for Cushing's syndrome and neuroendocrine disorders. Idk what else. I've been going to the doc complaining of pain in my back and blood in my urine for months now. My doc thinks the back pain is my adrenal glands. I just sincerely hope she can do something to help me before my adrenals give out or I have a heart attack or something. I'm not doing ok guys. I'm a total stress case and upset all the time. I can't take much more.
If doc can't get my cortisol levels stable maybe I need to look into stress management ideas.
Thank onlythelonely for the book you recommended. I purchased it and am reading it. It is very educational and helps me understand what my doctor is telling me.
I'm trying to get better, prayers and encouraging messages are welcome. Thanks.
