So, i volunteer there, and I'm depressed as hell. But these kids have been through so mush shit.... unlesss you been there you dont know. I'm still fucked up, but these kids have it rough- had to stop in 1995 because Maria died on me. I was floored!! Just recently got back into it, like reading, and simple shit like taking some of them to Mcdonalds--stupid easy shit- but they love it!!! Anyway I think it's a good way to get rid of depression when you see what these kids go through. Sorry I'm drunk tonight....

I have great respect for that place. When my oldest brother was young, a toddler, the stove fell over on him and a pot of boiling water landed on him. He was in the Shriners hospital for three years and they took very good care of him. You have a very cool job and years from now someone will give you your props for having taken such good care of their child. (I am talking over 50 years ago when this happened).

I don't want any props or anything, but these littly guys and girls are so thankful for everything-even if you go there with nothing but time! it is so sad in one way, but so enlightining() in another. I get too attached to these little shits, but I love them.

That is great you volunteer there. I volunteer for Alex's Lemonade Stand Carnival. It is a two day event to help raise money for kids with cancer. I love kids and would do whatever I can to help them.

Whats weird is my father was a shriner, his father tooo and I'm not If it were't for little Maria I would've never gone at all, but I took her to appts. there for awhile back in the day---suporrt these places 'cause they do good work!!!
