Ive dealt with depressed feeling since my teens to where it has become a way of life. Low self esteem, sleepiness, underachievement, beating myself up emotionally, isolation, you name it.
I went the route of therapy years back, but it was basically rhetoric to me and I nothing I didnt already know.
Went the medication route--another no-go. Aderall made me want to chew the paint off of walls and chain smoke, so I was put on Wellbutrin instead--exact opposite as I was basically stupified and sleepwalkin my way through the day. Then it was Prozac but that takes some time and when it kicked in I thought my heart was gonna leap out of my throat and bounce down the street to go to dinner without me. Another no-go.
Basically Im asking now about Cymbalta. I dont think is was available then and I need to know if I should ask my doctor to see if I should try it.
Im tired ALL of the time feel weak and faint now and again and my concentration has me feeling like a tranquilized circus chimp.

P.S. Im making a doc appointment because I want to be tested for hypothyroidism. I read about the symptoms and 8 out of 10 are mine.

Make sure that you give it a good 2 or 3 weeks to kick in - anything less and you are wasting your time and money - this applies to ALL of these type of meds.
