Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Guilt is only good when it keeps us from doing something wrong, again. Otherwise, it is useless.
The things you haven't accomplished -- you're really young. Do you compare yourself to someone else, do you have someone that compares you?
The most important things (to me), not being cruel, not following or going along with anybody just because others are, and being happy about even small progress, when I'm trying to improve. You would probably be shocked at how many people have deep hatred in their hearts and most of it gets there from the same causes - someone who is miserable, who decides to make someone else miserable, and has the opportunity - parents, teachers, coaches, bosses, insurance companies (?) and people wanting to punish someone - you see it in the media - they like to get somebody down, then hold them down, forever.
I have a lot of regret. I once was excited about a job I had gotten,
and two different people told me, "They don't treat people very well, there." But, I was young and divorced with 2 small children, living not far above the poverty level, and all I was going to do was work and whatever they said - I was sure everything would be fine. It wasn't. I should have listened. Deep hatred and anger that they're still oppressing women - just saw an internet story.
I hope you aren't in serious trouble, and that whatever the situation, things get better for you, very soon.
Isn't that one of the reasons God is so great? That even dispite the fact that I have been such a slimeball - he STILL loves me and is willing to accept me back.
Yes - I get where you are coming from. I seriously do. My challenge to you is what are you going to do to help make things right?
a141994, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling this way. We all have regrets in our past. You can't do anything to change it, all you can do is make the choice to handle things the right way going forward.
You may benefit from talking to a counselor. This online database may help - http://bit.ly/1cFlx87. You can use it to search for a good one in your area.
Hang in there bro. Things will get better!
