Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

My parents divorced when I was 12 and I had to live with my mother. My mother started dating a guy from a bar and he began staying over. I never liked him, I just had a bad feeling. They married when I graduated high school and I ran off with my high school sweet heart without a blink of an eye. I just wanted to get away.
Now I'm in my late 20's and they are still married. My mother complains to me constantly about him and how she just wishes he would leave. Her codependency has rubbed off which sucks.
To this day, he at any given moment will break into me with the most hurtful untrue words anyone could ever say to another person. It's hard! I know I can' change him but I'm aware that "hurt people, hurt people" it is the only thing they know.
Now I have a son too and his father is absent. Having a boyfriend is hard. My boyfriend doesn't have children and is a couple years older then me. It is not easy being a mother, I have know idea what I'm doing. On top of that I am struggling with trying to have a integrated family. I want to get married eventually and have another child but uhg it's deff not easy.
sorry I went on a rant there but I hope this helps.
