Relief from the heat

It is overcast today and only about 96 degrees outside. It is such a welcome relief from the horrible heat we've been having. I can sit in the car without sweat pouring down my face. The weather has such an impact on my daily existence. I am just grateful for the relief.

I hope you try to find a solution to your homelessness. Try the church, as a member suggested. They may have some connections to get you somewhere safe. At least they may point you in a direction that doesn't put you in an overcrowded shelter or the hospital.

I don't see anyone giving you permission to sleep on their property for legal reasons. But, maybe someone in the church might offer to take you in for a short time.

A friend that became homeless was given a lot of help by the Mormons. They were a God send and she is not Mormon. They fixed her broken down car and helped her find housing, brought her food and furniture. They are wonderful people.

It doesn't hurt to ask. You never know where you may find the help you need.

Yes, I will ask at a local church today. and see what they say. I don't really want to stay with anyone else, I have severe social anxiety and prefer to be alone. I didn't think the church would let me sleep on their property either, seemed like a long shot to me.

I'm so glad you have gotten relief hon. I know how horrible it is. We are having a terrible heat wave. Today will hit 105 and tomorrow, 107. It's just too much. And of course, your situation does not help you to stay out of the heat. I hope things are looking up for you. I have been off DS for almost a week and I'm glad to hear that you are okay. I think about you all the time. Hugs GB
