Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

So I've been not too well as some people know. I've been up and down with all the changes in my life. I'd say til now my depression to be minor with the exception that I had suicidal thoughts a while back, but besides that my symptoms were just small struggles that I made it through. I used to have major depression then I got down to having some low-level form of depression. Today I have finally fallen and admitted something is really wrong. I have almost every symptom of major depression right now :( Some not as bad as they could be though. My biggest issue is I been setting things down for a moment, and I walk away and forget I put them there. Then minutes later realize I lost my cell phone for example. I've lost my cell phone today a total of 3 times. I lost my backup copy of my driver's license today too. I already lost my original weeks ago but that was not due to forgetting easily I think i truly misplaced that one D:) I have no will to do the things I enjoy right now. I really want to do some computer work and get my car prepared to be sold and clean my room, but I can't bring myself to do anything :( I am easily annoyed (feel like I'm severely paranoid at times thinking someone I don't want to come talk to me is gonna talk to me.) I been sleeping a lot. Yesterday I slept all day pretty much other then like 4 hours of the day. Yet I have also been having a hard time sleeping when I should be asleep. Sometimes I'm up til 5:30 in the morning before I can sleep. I need to go see my doctor, but honestly just too tired to make the call and don't want to cause I feel like it's just too much work :( I don't have much time til they take away my health insurance.

Man I feel your pain; been suffering with major depression most of my life and had a break down about a month ago. What I can tell you is that talking about your thoughts and feelings WILL give you some relief, even though it probably doesn't seem like it right now. As hopeless as life may seem, it WILL get better with time. Also, you could force yourself to go see a psych before your insurance runs out and see what kinds of options are available. Hang in there man.

I do go to therapy on a weekly basis. Could not tell you how much I wish I could go tomorrow. I have to wait another 2 days :( I don't feel like I can wait.

Even if you have to just go through the motions right now, it's better than giving up. Write down everything you feel and why you think you feel that way so when things change you can look back on it and learn from it.

Thanks, on a good side note. I ordered a new license the last time I misplaced the license I lost again today (only difference is today I don't have the slightest idea where it was last) and got the new one just now going through the mail.
Restful
That's good to hear :)

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)
