Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I am sorry you suffer from depression....my dad also had it...and I do not think I inherited it I just ran my life ragged with drugs and alcohol and am now paying the price even with 20+yrs sobriety.....
So I'd start with fixing myself, (i did start with fixing myself lol) and then look around and see what else is going on.
Look into magnesium, there's lots of reports that people are short of this mineral, it's just suppressed because of the corrupt health system
Peace
Vitamins and other supplements have shown to be of some help but they work best in combination with other medicines.
I know mine is hereditary. My mother, aunt and grandmother all have or had anxiety and depression.
My dad's side has several people with bipolar..
All had or have severe cases. I say had because my grandmother has passed. My other grandmother on my dad's side was in and out of hospitals because of her condition. My mother, aunt and I have also.
It took ect and the right meds to get me well. I struggled for over a decade.
Alternative therapies help in combination with meds. Exercise and journaling help me. I also do tapping.
When it's bad, you are willing to try anything.
I couldn't work or even function without medicine..
I'm ok knowing ill need meds for life most likely.
Also my dog gives me so much joy on my bad days. She gets me exercising and out of the house.
Almonds are the best source of Magnesium according to this website; a Government site, ironically enough. :|
