I keep thinking about the new life path I am facing and while I have moments of hope.. I still find myself depressed terrified n crying most of the time. Small recap those who may not have read my other posts.. my husband is divorcing me after I had an affair that got me pregnant.. I am trying to focus energy and positivity on this child coming into my life but terrified as I don't know how I can pull it off and never pictured myself a single mom and going thru all this no way do I want to put him up for adoption... its mother's day.. and I feel mixed emotions.. a baby I always wanted is kicking in me but how can I make him proud and provide for him... I'm due first week September which will be here so fast. Because of the divorce I have to find new place to live by June and paying bills on my own and costs of child increase the depression and fear and hopelessness. Also being mothers day I have to call my own mom.. I've only emailed her a few times about this not spoken to her since march so very afraid of that moment too.. i know she's ashamed of me and she loved my husband so much.. they still speak even.. more than her and I have because I'm so hurt.. I can't burden my family and just "talking" does nothing for me.. actually angers me more as I don't like to repeat how down I am and my family has no good solutions they worry cry and are too dramatic for me it only hurts more than helps And upsets me to see this cause them harm too... I'm the kind of person that in a situation when I know someone needs help I just do what I know will help.. make them feel better without having to grovel or ask for it and I know talking is sometimes the hardest part.. sometimes if u extend kindness without having to be asked it takes the tension down and the person can open up and relax... its how I've made most my friends and what they know me for. Which is why its also so hard for me to be the one down now... hate to say that's how I was w baby daddy.. he was hurting and I gave him tons of money and gifts... too much in hindsight.. especially considering the fact he's disappeared... even took out $7,000 personal loan for him when he needed a new car... only for him to say state intercepted it for child support... I was already pregnant by time he told me that... so I'm stuck paying $400 per month on that loan... money I really need for this new life And now do not have... I flip back and forth soooo much on thinking this is God punishing me for having affair... leaving me alone taking the husband and putting an absent baby daddy into my life story.. I cry and pray for forgiveness and that both I and the baby will make it through.... or is this some mixed blessing.. will someone come to my life an angel and lift me to my feet and the baby be my biggest blessing and I be able to pull it off... but right now feeling punished alone depressed and scared... the problem is I'm so not patient... I wish I could look ahead in this script.... I've found my life hasn't gone as I'd planned usually so very scared... its said time will tell and time heals all wounds but that's hard and scarey for me... I just can't do it.... sorry for such a long post..thank you to those who read and even more those that reply... I can't sleep and so much in my mind another night with tears and fears... say a prayer for me if you'd be so kind. Thank you and good luck/blessings to us all.

Also, you may find "Desiderata" of use:
____________
Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
You didn't commit a crime.
You're going to climb out of this. Soothe yourself a little bit to accept what IS.
Shihonage you said God does not punish I beg to differ...reference Isaiah 26:21
For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain
It seems you have decided to keep the baby...so its you and the baby. And that JERK (babys father)...will be paying child support and if he wants to be an asshole and never see his child...his loss.
Because you will one day find someone to love...who will love you and your child....I did. And...take baby steps...I know its easy for me to say not to get overwhelmed ha...I get overwhelmed about lesser stresses....
But I wish I could take my own advice...just live in the moment...and look back on your life...everything ALWAYS has worked out....I was kicked out at 17 and suicidal...my life has done nothing but improve...I was homeless..sleeping in my car and at friends at times for a short period of time....and I now have my own house 2 kids....and have had 3 different relationships...and have always survived.
You will be ok...if you can't believe it..believe us.
BUT, God also forgives, as long as we show our sorrow for the sins we commit. As long as you are a good, kind person, I think God will forgive us in the end.
I had an emotional affair about 10 years ago. My husband NEVER showed me any affection either. I never actually had sex with the man, but I def. had feelings for him & vise versa. I confessed the whole thing to my husband, & he forgave me. It is still a 2 way street, it takes to make a marriage & 2 to break it up. It's not all your fault, your hubby needs to take half the responsibility.
I think you will be a good mom.
