Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Please, if you can, get therapy. That is a great way to get a handle on where you are, where you want to be, and how to get from one to another.
Please don't view all of this as your fault. Unless you put guns in your son's hands and told him to be a criminal at a young age, you can't be held responsible for his actions. He must share some of the blame. Your husband must also share some of the blame that you believe falls on your hands.
As for your overworked son, he needs to get himself out of that bind.
Sorry you are not doing well.
Gentle hugs
"I only have control of myself, my response and my actions. Today I can only control my self. I know this now. I be the best me I can be...a little better everyday. And with others I have put boundaries in place so I can heal. I don't go back to say kick me again."
Very well said. I hope that I can keep that in mind when I am feeling down.
