Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

First I need to give some background, my wife and I have been married for 25 years. She has been suffering from depression for 20 plus years. Meds, drs and therapists. Recently she hit a mania stage, went thru it, became extremely depressed. It was during her depressed state I was informed of things I would rather of not happened. It did, oh well, figure out how to deal and work thru.
I surprised her on her birthday by taking a cake to her and her coworkers. Plus I gave her a single rose, showing love and compassion. Her smiles while I was being introduced to her coworkers was a smile I haven’t seen in years. I was hoping she would take the feelings and emotions she felt would carry over and allow her to see the positive aspects of life she has. What I realized is that her emotions seemed short lived. When she arrived home it was as if nothing special happened.
For those suffering from depression, is this a similar feeling?
The easiest way to describe me is my glass is always full. 1/2, 1/4 or even 1/8. Its to the full side not the empty side.

It's National Doughnut Day!Which three would you like? (never mind the calories, fat, or sugar content; just go with what you would pick if none of that mattered and whatever health issues you might have that would keep you from eating one in real life can be cast aside for this exercise as well... have at it!)
