Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm not just playing soccer better - I feel better, physically and emotionally, and I look great!
Ive always been decently active and mostly a healthy eater. But I also spent a lot of time sitting around and munching while watching TV - and no matter how healthy your snacks are, more of them than you need is still bad.
I've been keeping myself busy - I still take a bit of time at the end of the night (like now) to veg out and prepare for sleeping, but I have *something* to do every night, whether it's soccer, work, or hanging out with friends.
I've been getting at least 15 minutes, usually half an hour to an hour and a half, of exercise every day and eating right - lots of fruits, berries and veggies. I've gone through these "health phases" a few times but this time I am determined that it is not just going to be a phase. I feel so much better when I am active and healthy than when I'm bored and lazy. I have a lot more energy, which makes me just want to do more stuff!
