@Grainey If this law passes it will set the example for other countries to follow including yours.
Youtube, facebook, and even google as well as other US based sites that people visit internationally will either be crippled or shut down.

and several little widgets to get around the problem are already widely available for firefox/chrome.
this just sounds like yet more kneejerking in the name of copyright. we get it, hollywood doesn`t like pirates.. they need to accept that they`ll never win though, technology moves too fast, all new security stuff is usually broken or bypassed by someone in a matter of days.

a more worrying possibility is that all "outside" media gets blocked and fox news becomes the only option (because we ALL know that any initiative will work in favour of those who can afford it)
don`t get me wrong, our news is miserable, but it`s not grabbing us by the collar and yelling in our face about how everything is out to get us either.
Britain would much rather moan about something than be scared of it ;)
you`ll also notice we aren`t allowed guns and never renamed sticks of fried potato out of pettiness, both of which have precedent in the USA ;)
