Do you put things off & suffer from depression? I've adopted the attitude of 'Just do it' and used it for a while now and although it helps I found that when i do at least 1 thing a day, especially the one that keeps bugging me I keep from getting depressed . So if your in a depression do at least 1 thing a day, it may make a huge difference. And if you're not depressed and you do one thing it may lead to doing more and what a greater high that is!

As severely depressed as I have been, I still do things I have to do each day simply because I have to do them. I go to work every day because I have no choice, I bathe, clean etc everyday because it has to be done. I have often wondered about people who DON'T have to do these things. People who simply let others take care of them - and grow weaker for it. The "Just Do It" attitude covers everyday life for me. I don't understand how some people get away with doing nothing and still get their rent paid.

heretic, I really admire you. Feel for you too .as for the ones who don't have to do what you do. im sure they are on disablitity or trying to get on it, homeless etc..Im on disability and trust me, i cant be the only one who strives every day to not only seek help but to encourage others etc..

I manage to go to work also when I'm secerly depressed and anxiety jumping all over me. I'm like heretic, its hard but the bills have to be paid, I wonder also about the people that are on disaility because of this stuff. Its awfully disabling and takes a lot of persrverence to make it through each day. Some days wondering whether you will or not,Just not giving up and to keep going is a battle when you're in the valley!

i hear ya Garrett. it interfered with my life for years, especially when working. the whole process..getting a job, keeping it, not showing up or quitting and getting fired cuz of it then trying to get another with that record, it was an endless cycle

I feel lucky that I am not one of those people so depressed that they can't even continue to function in normal, everyday life that they have to do on disability. I am sure they would prefer to be in my situation where I am depressed but I can still get it together enough to go to work, grocery shop, etc. I just hope my depression never gets so bad that I can't work and pay the bills anymore. That would make me even more depressed and less likely to recover from it.
