Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If I can just suggest another word about relaxing. A wise person once told me relaxing is taking care of yourself.
Think of it as preparing yourself for the future!
I can tell you from experience living in the countryside is so worth it. Hiking, biking and just walking around is my therapy session for the day and yes there are days when relaxing at home cause I’m caught up in thoughts or feelings of no hope.
Also got into photography, bcs I focus on something else but myself for a change. That’s my high

So if someone says something nice to you to try to help, one of the most positive things you can do is tell them you are thankful for taking the time to respond! Then the positivity feeds more positivity.
Also, there's a way to sort of pay it forward out there. Many creatives struggle with the kinds of problems we see here, so If you really want to make a complete stranger's day, Go to BandCamp or Jango Radio and search out new and upcoming talent until you find a song you like, and then send them a like and say something nice on their page and YouTube. It's such a little thing that can shine a ray of light right into someone's heart.
I know, because I'm one of those people. So I do it for others regularly. I'd put a link to my stuff here, but it would seem like shameless self-promotion. But then again who ever said I wasn't totally shameless anyway.
I made this homemade music video last year before the pandemic hit. It's called Earth Abides, after the 1949 novel of the same name by George Stewart. Maybe creating something will make you feel good too. Even if it's just doing an adult coloring book, knitting something, or doing some baking.
