Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Speaking as a depressed person with varying moods, who has friends that (you would hope) would return hugs and good wishes, it seems the people who scream the loudest get all of the attention. Quiet people get very little, here. It doesn't seem to matter how badly we're doing, the screamers get the time and attention.
The Crisis Center is doing just fine.
The thing is, most people are here because they NEED support; we're not here because everything's cool and ticking along.
PLEASE, no more pressure to attend to the Crisis Center. We all do what we can!
I just wanted to come up with some kind of compromise because it seems a lot of people are not happy. But it's nice to hear someone else on the same page as me because as of late I have felt like I was the only one who thought that.
HUGS everyone.
Have a nice day!
