Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Anyone that's out of work or can't work can relate. Its difficult to realize you may be stuck in a fixed income and not be able to physically do many things you used to do.
But..... Here's also an idea. Check and really research on line jobs or creating your own online business. Many people have done well. Some are making money enough to feel a bit more comfortable with their lives and themselves.
I would get your ssi first. Then with the time you have at home. Get into looking around at what us available to you.
I tell people this all the time. But I doubt anyone listens or cares to make a change.
I have 3 friends that have had severe depression all their lives.
All three went on the internet and checked on what foods HELP depression and what foods make depression and anxiety worse.
They drastically changed their diets.
All 3 have said they feel good everyday. Some days I'm sure like everyone, they aren't perfect. But they say they are doing well now.
1 of them had terrible migraines most of her life. She began drinking an herbal shake each day and has NO migraines at all, zero.
Heavy people hate dieting. No one likes diets. So.... Trying to change basically, a way of life. Is not easy.
Sugar is one of the worst things for anxiety and depression. And one of the biggest cravings.
Its up to you, how much you want to get away from anxiety and depression.
And of course.... Some form if exercise is helpful too.
