Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
If she's mad at you that means she's had a gutsful. The more lightly you behave, the better you will feel. Allow yourself to have some fun. Allow your group of friends to have a laugh without being that one wet rag in the corner. It's kind of controlling. You're controlling everyone's happiness. And if they start to feel you're not doing it by accident: look out. They will eventually have to ditch you anyway though, because nobody can cope with that. Nobody can cope with that day after day.
this isn't about 'not talking' or 'hiding your feelings'. This is about CHANGING your feelings. Leaving old feelings behind. Allowing yourself the space to have new feelings.
I know the desire to cry all the time. It's depression. But if you permit it, you will go right down the toilet. you have to have a time and a place. And that time is later, and that place is at home. Or in the loo.
If you feel weepy? think of something else. Distract your mind. Go to the toilet, wash your face. cry in the loo a little bit and then wash up, clean up, come back. Don't ever cry in class.
