[Date Today]
Dear [Add Name]
Thank you for your letter of [Add Date]. After careful
consideration I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept
your refusal to offer me employment with your firm. This year I
have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large
number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising
field of candidates it is impossible for me to accept all
refusals.
Despite [Add company name] outstanding qualifications and previous
experience in rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection
does not meet with my needs at this time. Therefore, I will
initiate employment with your firm immediately following
graduation. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future candidates.
Sincerely,
[Your name here]
As for your former friend, it is hard to know why she acted that way. If you see her again perhaps you can ask her why the sudden freeze. My guess is that it is complicated, perhaps even involving something that you would never have guessed.
Since you can not force a person to be friends with you, or even be honest with you, let her go. If it was meant to be she will return to you and apologize. Or at least explain.
gentle hugs
I have more I could add but it would not be keeping it positive. I would not have said any of this except I wanted you to know why I understand so clearly how you are feeling.
All this being said, "living is better than not"! There are some people in this world that still love me and would be sad if I was not here. I have responsibilities that would be dumped onto someone else if I didn't do my best to see to them. Tomorrow is a new day and feeling better might just be right around the corner. Sometimes I forget about the "just around the corner" when I focus on the things that bother me instead of focusing on the positive things I have and the hope for the future.
Something you could try is to make a list of everyone that loves you and all the things you have that you are grateful for in your life today. If you have a hard time with the grateful list start with hot water for a bath or shower. (cold is the pits)
Hope you find a little hope soon and then you will begin feeling better.

I can agree with you on the job search as it is tuff and i ain't no college study kind of guy though I have took some courses. Still the fact remains the work that is around is there but ppl are or seem to be picky.... :(
My list of things that do not get done is WAY longer and bigger than my list of things that do get done with out the use of the tool called money. And, my fuckit list has gone out of control because of this.
((((HUGZ))))
The friend, personally I would say absolutely nothing,, what's to hear? It's going to turn out to be something you know nothing about or something she's assumed and obviously thought it was enough to translate through a single look.... so why bother? It's just going to hurt,, and something you can live without.
