Were it not for the book, I couldn't bear the test. Were it not for the test, I couldn't bear the results. Were it not for the results, I couldn't bear this life. Were it not for this life, I wouldn't know how much my Savior loves me. Were it not for HIS love, I would fail the test because there would be no book.

Nice post. Good to see some really encouraging words. C S Lewis was the one who formed the "Jesus - liar, lunatic or Lord?" by the way. Mere Christianity, his famous book has an entire chapter exploring this topic.

Thanks Kristieblue...I've heard a lot about C.S.Lewis from my pastor and really want to read his books...just don't have much time lately...unfortunately...

These are mostly quotes I heard over the past few days from our Christmas Eve service and my recovery meeting last Friday. At that meeting we had our county's jail chaplain speak and the quotes about Enjoying the journey and Death not being the end came from a Death Row Inmate just hours if not minutes before being executed.

Not sure about this. I don't believe in the Lord, and I don't like the way that posts about god are becoming frequent here. I don't believe in god, and it would be good if you would put a trigger warning on religious posts or put them in the christian depression group. Religion harmed me, hugely, and it is a massive trigger for me.

I'm all for freedom of speech, but it would be a courtesy to me and other non-believers if you would put something in the title that your words of encouragement rely on you believing in god.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but truly, this is becoming too much.

I'm with Juice on this one, religious posts should be labeled as such, I'm not a christian and when I look for encouragement it sure isn't from the bible. But I"ll save my opinion of the bible out of respect for others here who may be offended by it.
