Anyway the happy thing is my daughter in law is entering into her third month of pregnancy and doing well. That is as far as she has ever gotten before and she seems to be on her way to going full term. Around the first week of April is hopefully when I will be talking about my first grand baby.
I cannot wait to spoil that baby rotten. My daughter said she has had a dream about having a boy. Either that youngun is going to have a chance to find out about fishing and boating. I sure hope that youngun likes fishing and boating. But whatever that baby likes you know grandpa Drake will be indulging it to the max.
Next the not so good...
My right knee is slowing me down a bit. It is swollen and won't go down. I saw a nurse practioner and had x-rays. Now I am waiting for an MRI and a call from the Ortho Doc. Hopefully if it neeeds to be drained , which is what the nurse practioner suspects, then it will be soon. After that then there will be the addressing of what is making it swell in the first place. I don't recall doing anything to injure it. I think that it is related to some pain I had a few weeks ago in my right knee. Anyway being slowed down does help my depression. And my thoughts seem to wander towards thinking I might need surgery. This depresses me more so I try not dwell too much on that.

I'm sorry about the knee situation----but it sounds like you've done everything you can logically do, and so the rest is in the hands of the doctors. Which is okay.

So..... I'm so happy for your son and daughter in law and I will keep them in my prayers that the pregnancy goes well . You will be the best grandpa and oh my gosh I know you will spoil that little grandson or grandaughter .. and no matter what.. they will be goin' fishin! :))
I'm sorry about your knee honey. I hope that it isn't anything serious and maybe it's just some fluid that needs to be drained and no surgery in sight. Keep us posted, okay? Try hard not to dwell on the ' what ifs' . ( I know,, easier said than done ). You are always in my thoughts and prayers. Love you sweetie.

( i know people hate this but...) it could be worse!!
10 years ago i blew out my knee requiring 3 surgeries within 3 years ... it was a hassle to be gentle with words ...
so .. grandpa out weights knee like 100 to 1 !!!
